New Delhi [India], June 9 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday alleged that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is 'harassing small Hindu traders in Punjab' while claiming that raids are being conducted on traders in the state.
In a post on X, Kejriwal wrote, 'The ED party is once again conducting raids on Hindu traders in Punjab today. The ED party is harassing small Hindu traders in Punjab.'
Issuing an appeal to the trading community, he urged them not to panic and asserted that the Punjab government stands with them.
He further said, 'I appeal to all traders - there is no need to panic, the entire Punjab and the Punjab government are with you, we will all together confront the ED party.'
Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate conducted searches at six locations across Ludhiana and Jalandhar in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and the Delhi-Noida region as part of an ongoing investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) allegedly linked to a real estate case, officials said on Tuesday.
According to officials, the searches were carried out at residential and business premises connected to persons and entities under probe in the case allegedly involving Hampton Sky Realty Ltd.
