Promoting geotourism exchanges between Taiwan and Japan

TAIPEI, Nov. 7, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- The mayors from 10 cities and towns of Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, visited Yehliu Geopark in Taiwan on November 4, 112 (2023) with a delegation of 32 people. Along with Yehliu Geopark and representatives from the authority North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Headquarters, they jointly promote Yehliu Geopark and the Izu Peninsula Geopark. In recent years, Yehliu Geopark management team and the North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Headquarters have been working hard to promote international tourism by establishing sister and friendly park relationships with several international geopark partners, with the Izu Peninsula Geopark being one of them. Yehliu Geopark and the Izu Peninsula Geopark have conducted mutual visits and exchanges, with the Japanese side participating in Yehliu Night Tours event many times, enhancing the exchange of academic and educational resources and mutual marketing.
