SYDNEY, Sept. 25, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Sydney Opera House champagne partner G.H. Mumm has created a special tribute to the Opera House's 50th anniversary with a toast atop the iconic sails by Australian musician Isabella Manfredi. The toast coincides with the launch of a limited-edition 50th anniversary Mumm Cordon Rouge commemorative champagne gift tin that was created to mark five decades of creativity and inspiration at the core of the Opera House.
The avant-garde champagne producer along with creative collaborator and friend Isabella Manfredi, who performed at the Opera House for Vivid LIVE in 2015, had the rare opportunity to climb the Opera House sails to mark the occasion.
As the sun cast its first light on Sydney Harbour at dawn, Manfredi reached the world-famous building, raising a G.H. Mumm glass to the courage, creativity and bold spirit of the Opera House. Honouring another innovative Australian brand, Manfredi was dressed in a vibrant red custom gown from renowned Australian designer Michael Lo Sordo creating a striking image against the backdrop of the Sydney skyline and the Opera House's glistening white sails.
"Some of the most resonate moments of my career have involved experiences at the Sydney Opera House. What an iconic way to celebrate Australian culture and creativity - by raising a glass of G.H. Mumm atop the sails. A once in a lifetime experience!", says Manfredi.
Inviting Australians to join in on this ultimate toast, G.H. Mumm and the Opera House have collaborated to create a limited edition 50th-Anniversary Mumm Cordon Rouge commemorative champagne gift tin. Designed as a keepsake for those celebrating from home, the gift tin features a contemporary design that elegantly integrates the two powerhouses of creativity. It is a gift for family and friends, a tribute to the creative spirit, and a celebration of the arts.
"We're excited to launch this limited-edition collection with partner Pernod Ricard to help mark our milestone 50th anniversary in October. Since opening almost fifty years ago, the Sydney Opera House has been home to countless moments of magic for millions of people. This special commemorative gift is another unique way for our community to share in the festivities," says Sydney Opera House Head of Private Funding Heidi Forbes.
"Celebrating of the Sydney Opera House's 50-year legacy is an honour for G.H. Mumm. As the champagne partner since 2019, this partnership symbolizes the fusion of creativity, innovation, and artistry, and we're excited to share a toast in commemoration of this remarkable milestone," says Kristy Rutherford, Marketing Director, Pernod Ricard Pacific.
The G.H. Mumm x Sydney Opera House 50th Anniversary Gift Tin will be available for purchase in selected retailers from 3 October 2023 until stocks last.
