Sharjah Light Festival 2012 to begin Thursday

Sharjah's ruler Sheikh Sultan Mohammed Al Qasimi will open the nine-day Sharjah Light Festival 2012 Thursday being organised by the emirate's commerce and tourism development authority.

A large number of dignitaries will attend the opening ceremony, as the festival promises to be more spectacular and more exciting than ever.

New locations and exciting new features have been added to the festival of lights being held between Feb 9 and 17

The Sharjah Light Festival, in its second year, has already come to be recognised as one of the most important events in the region.
