David Guetta wants house music to be as big as hip hop

Asia Bulletin (ANI) Wednesday 8th February, 2012

David Guetta wants to make house music as big as hip-hop and rock music in America.

The DJ and producer has been a key figure in bringing commercial dance to the US charts through his tracks with Black Eyed Peas, Akon, Snoop Dogg and Flo Rida, among others, and is glad more people are catching on to the sound.

"House was underground for so long. I always wanted house to be as big as rock music and hip-hop," Contactmusic quoted Guetta as telling News.com.au.

"And it's happening. It's even bigger.

"I'm not only happy for myself but for the house community," he added. (ANI)
