Zardari says Pak will extend 'political-moral support' to settle Kashmir issue peacefully

Asia Bulletin (ANI) Sunday 5th February, 2012

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has assured that his government would continue to extend its fullest political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris to help settle the Kashmir dispute peacefully.

In his message on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day on Sunday, Zardari said that Pakistan wants the Kashmir issue to be settled peacefully, The Daily Times reports.

Insisting that the Kashmiris had rendered countless sacrifices for over six decades to uphold their dignity and freedom, Zardari said that the fundamental human rights of the people there should be respected.

"It is indeed imperative that the noble principles and values, that underpin the just Kashmiri cause, are upheld and supported by all justice and freedom loving peoples across the world," he added.

He also said the peaceful struggle of the people of Kashmir had gained strength and intensity in recent years, and that the new generation should continue to "wage a heroic struggle" to attain their fundamental rights. (ANI)
